The Fivefold Ministry

The Spirit Of Life In Christ Ministries believe in the five-fold ministries given to the Church at the ascension of Jesus Christ and that they continue to be needed and should be expected today. We believe in the New Testament order for the local church in its government, structure, and worship. Fivefold (Ascension Gift) Ministries: Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers. (Eph. 4:11) Elders (Titus 1:5-9; I Timothy 3:1-7) Pastoral accountability and authority (Hebrews 13:17). Psalms 68:18; Ephesians 4:11-12. We believe they are called and scripturally provided by our Lord Jesus Christ, the Head of the Church, for the two-fold purpose of the evangelization of the world and of the edification and oversight of the body of Christ.
